Bottled Ocean Treasures (“BOT”) respects your concerns about privacy. This U.S. Online Privacy Notice (Notice) describes the types of personal information we obtain through BOT’s website and mobile application, how we may use the information, with whom we may share it, and the choices available regarding our use of your information. This Notice also describes the measures we take to safeguard your personal information and how individuals can contact us about our on-line privacy practices

Information We Obtain

Certain information is automatically collected through BOT’s website. Additional personal information is also collected through BOT’s website when you purchase jewelry products we sell.  Types of personal information we obtain include: 

  • Contact information, such as name, telephone, cellular phone and fax numbers, and email and postal addresses;
  • Payment information, such as name, billing address and payment card details, including card number, expiration date and security code, which is collected and stored by our third-party payment processor on our behalf;

When you interact with BOT’s website or social media, we obtain certain information such as cookies, web server logs, web beacons and other technologies. We use third-party web analytics services on BOT’s website, offered through Google Analytics, Yahoo, Bing, Ebay, Amazon, Facebook or Instagram. These service providers use automated technologies to collect data (such as IP addresses) to evaluate BOT’s website visitors, inquiries and purchases.These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.

Online Tracking and Interest-Based Advertising

Ad networks allow us to target our jewelry to potential buyers such as demographic data, users’ interests and browsing habits. We do not authorize our service providers to use or disclose the information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or comply with legal requirements.

The privacy practices of the relevant third parties, including details on the information they may collect about you, is subject to the privacy statements of these parties, which we strongly suggest you review.

To the extent any linked online services or third-party features are not owned or controlled by us, BOT is not responsible for these third parties’ information practices. 

How We Protect Personal Information

We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure or use. When you place an order(s) or access your personal information, we offer the use of a secure server. All sensitive/credit information you supply is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted for accesses to purchase jewelry, as stated above.

Children's Personal Information

BOT is designed for a general audience and is not directed to children.  BOT does not knowingly collect or solicit personally identifiable information.  If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will promptly delete that information.  If you believe that a child under the age 13 may have provided us with any personal information, please contact us at bottledoceantreasures@gmail.com.
